Supply is not a town so much as a stretch of Brunswick County, and the address covers far more territory than most people realize. It runs along US 17 through farm and timber land, follows the Lockwood Folly River, and reaches down toward the water on the south end. That spread is why an estimate here is never a phone call. Acreage changes the economics

When the fence line is measured in hundreds or thousands of feet, cost per foot stops being a detail and becomes the whole decision. Field and farm fence, meaning woven or welded wire on treated posts, is what makes fencing real acreage possible. It contains livestock, marks a line clearly, and holds up outdoors for years without asking anything of you. The pattern we recommend most often is wire over the bulk of the property and something better looking, vinyl or wood, only where the property meets the road. Gates are where we tell people not to economize, because gates carry all the moving load and a cheap one will fail before anything else on the property does.

Sandy ground, low ground, and posts that stay put

The soil out here drains fast, which means water is not sitting around a footing and rotting it. The trade is grip. Sand does not hold a post against sideways force the way denser ground does, and sideways force is what storm wind delivers. On a long open run across a field there is nothing to slow that wind down at all, so post depth, post diameter, and spacing get sized to the exposure rather than to a default. Add to that the low, flat ground and the creeks running through this part of the county, and there are usually sections of any large property that stay wet well after the rain stops. We find them on the site walk instead of discovering them on install day.

Close enough to the coast to matter

You are inland from the beaches, but not by much, and the Lockwood Folly is tidal. Salt reaches the southern end of this ZIP in the air, and humidity and UV are relentless everywhere in it. Untreated wood grays fast and softens faster, galvanized components last far longer than plain steel, and gate hardware is worth upgrading regardless of how far from the water you sit. None of that is exotic. It is just the difference between a fence that needs attention in three years and one that does not.
